Corrections Policy

How readers can flag an error and how we handle changes.

Report an issue

Use the contact page and choose Correction. Identify the page, the statement or figure at issue, and any primary source that supports the correction. Please do not send sensitive personal information.

Our review

We compare the report with the cited source and the original research record. If a cost figure, calculation, scope, source attribution or safety-related statement is wrong, we correct it and review any calculator using the same data. We do not silently change a reviewed number just to make an estimate look more competitive.

Visible updates

Substantive revisions receive a new review date when the editorial review is complete. If evidence is insufficient, we may leave the claim unchanged or remove it pending further verification. Our editorial policy explains the publication gate.
